Location: Chester City Centre

Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Holidays: 22 days per annum, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure

Salary: Dependant on experience


Notes:

For the right candidate, Manleys would accommodate part time hours, as long as the hours involved time on each of the normal 5 working days. Ideal hours would be 8.30am – 2.30pm daily. Salary and holiday entitlement would be calculated on a pro-rata basis.


Description:

  • Open the office daily.
  • Open, sort and distribute post that comes into the business daily.
  • Send any post out of the business as and when required.
  • Answer the telephone, transfer calls and take messages for all members of the business.
  • File management. Open new files, complete compliance checks by obtaining clients ID, carry out Anti Money Laundering checks and open digital files on both SharePoint and our case management system for all fee earners.
  • Various administration duties including preparing documents, bundles, writing letters, proof reading and formatting of documents on Microsoft Word.
  • Filing of paper files regularly.
  • Archiving of both digital and paper files regularly.
  • Liaising with supplies of stationary, printing, off site storage etc.
  • Print, scan, fax using our wide format all-in-one printer.
  • Making hot drinks for colleagues and visitors.
  • General housekeeping of the office.
  • Purchasing sundry items to keep the office stocked for colleagues and visitors.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO and to assist with any banking duties that are required such as making payments from four separate accounts as well as daily account reconciliations. *Training will be provided.


Experience Required:

  • Previous experience of both working within an office environment and within an administration role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages, especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to speed type for the purpose of dictation and turning tasks around quickly to meet deadlines.
  • Professional telephone manner and ability to meet and greet clients, colleagues and suppliers visiting our offices.
  • Positive attitude towards helping within all areas of the business and acting as an overall support to the Managing Director, Chief Executive, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to attend training courses as required to improve skills and remain compliant in accordance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
  • Previous experience working with numbers, finances and/or online banking facilities desirable but not essential.
