Location: Chester City Centre

Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Holidays: 22 days per annum, plus bank holidays and days between Christmas and New Year (office closed)

Salary: Competitive


Description:

  • Assisting fee earners with the daily running of their cases
  • Preparing legal documents and court bundles
  • Writing legal letters, proof reading and formatting of documents on Microsoft Word.
  • Legal research
  • Providing legal information to clients
  • Liaising with Courts, experts and other third parties
  • Managing diaries and organising remote / in person appointments
  • Minute/note taking in client meetings.
  • Attending client meetings both in and out of the office
  • Send any post out of the business as and when required.
  • Answer the telephone, transfer calls, and take messages for all members of the business.
  • Assisting our office administrator where necessary and during holidays/time away from the office.
  • Assisting with file management. Open new files, complete compliance checks by obtaining clients ID, carry out Anti Money Laundering checks and open digital files on both SharePoint and our case management system for all fee earners.


Experience Required:

  • Successful completion of the Legal Practice Course
  • Knowledge or interest in Commercial Litigation and/or Media Law would be advantageous.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages, especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Ability to speed type for the purpose of dictation and turning tasks around quickly to meet deadlines.
