Promotion for Jessica Turner at Chester based Manleys Solicitors

By May 31, 2023August 2nd, 2024No Comments

Manleys Solicitors, a boutique commercial litigation and reputation management firm based in Chester have this month promoted Jessica Turner to the position of Associate Solicitor.

Jessica joined Manleys over 7 years ago after working for a well-known full-service firm based in the North-West. She joined Manleys in 2016 to pursue her dream of becoming a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer. Jessica initially worked as a Paralegal and PA to Mr Manley in which she assisted with the day-to-day operations and finances of the firm, together with assisting solicitors on cases. Whilst working full time, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Jessica’s hard work paid off and she was awarded a training contract in 2017, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Jessica, now 3 ½ years qualified, still excels in her work.

Since qualification, Jessica has helped to protect her client’s reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and their private and confidential information. Jessica’s skill set sees her involved daily in advising clients on a broad range of legal issues including “Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law and Shareholder Disputes.

Throughout her years of practice, Jessica and the firm have acted for some high profile clients and she has been involved in some prominent cases; the most notable of which involved securing a monumental win for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Womens’ NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This success was picked up and reported on Media Blog, Inforrm. Jessica also achieved a major result against one of the biggest social media platforms when she obtained an out-of-court settlement after the platform allegedly breached defamation and data protection law, something that was reported on earlier this year and no doubt contributed to this recent promotion. From these reportable successes to the testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website www.manleys.law it is clear she is doing a great job for her clients!

Mark Manley, Managing Director of the Legal 500 firm stated “Watching Jess come through from an admin position/paralegal/trainee and then into one of our most accomplished solicitors has been really rewarding. She is a totally dedicated, really hard-working solicitor who has honed her legal knowledge, persistently beats all targets set for her and unquestionably a star of the future. I had no hesitation in promoting her and have no doubt that she will continue to push herself on further whilst helping our client secure their goals. She is a credit to the firm.”

When asked about the recent promotion, Jessica said; “I have enjoyed many years at Manleys and thoroughly enjoy the work that I do. Achieving positive results for my clients has always been my main goal, and I look forward to carrying that forward into my new position with the firm.”
