Mark Manley

Founder & Managing Director

Mark’s clients include several members of the Royal Family, the Government, political parties and politicians, many NHS Trusts, national and regional newspapers, TV companies, magazines and radio stations, football clubs, (managers and players), boxers and musicians, to name just a few of our clients within the general business, entertainment, music and sports sectors.

Mark has advised several household name PLCs, SMEs and individual Directors, Shareholders and Partners in disputes.

Mark is a member of CEDR Chambers (the set of the UK’s leading Mediators) and is also a mediator and arbitrator on the Sports Resolutions Panels. As an accredited mediator he has mediated over 1000 cases. He has arbitrated several cases including an Olympic Games selection dispute and several Rule K disputes in football.

Mark has successfully won cases at every level including in the House of Lords (now Supreme Court) and Court of Appeal including the landmark confidentiality/injunction case of Cream Holdings Ltd v Banerjee and Liverpool Daily Post & Echo Ltd [2004] HL. He has successfully won claims in front of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and Court of Arbitration for Sport and in 2023 appeared as counsel in the Southern District of New York Court in the Jeffrey Epstein/ Ghislaine Maxwell related litigation.

Prior to his work becoming predominantly Claimant based he previously also handled a variety of cases for various media and sports organisations including Trinity Mirror, Bauer Media, Insider Media, Lime Pictures Ltd, ITV, Sunday Sport, Baron Publications and football clubs and players from the English Premiership and other Leagues. Mark has also chaired or served on several footballer testimonial committees including Leon Osman’s Testimonial Committee (Everton), Jamie Carragher and Ronnie Moran.

Mark continues to be recognised in Chambers & Partners UK and The Legal 500, where he is described as “media savvy” and a “great litigator” and is the Legal 500 “Hall of Fame”

Mark Manley

Manleys was founded in 2012 by litigation and media lawyer Mark Manley. Mark’s vision was to build a specialist litigation practice, dedicated to first class service, building a strong rapport with clients and focused on achieving results.

Mark has more than 35 years’ experience obtaining outstanding results in disputes and litigation for clients. He is nationally renowned for his work in reputation management, defamation, brand protection and privacy matters, on behalf of high-profile individuals, corporates and organisations.

Chief Operations Officer

Rebekah Booth

Rebekah was appointed the firm’s COO in May 2022. Her role involves, managing the overall operations and resources of the company, setting the strategy for the future, building and maintaining relationships, as well implementing existing plans and policies. Rebekah is analytical, driven, extremely motivated, and has a strong desire for not only her own success, but that of the firm.

Along with her Honours degree in business management, Rebekah utilises her wealth of financial management and leadership experience from a variety of business sectors within her role at Manleys. In supporting all areas, Rebekah ensures Solicitors within Manleys are free to offer clients the best possible service in managing their case, as well as safeguarding the overall success and growth of the firm.

Associate Solicitor

Jessica Turner

Jessica became the firm's Associate Solicitor in May 2023. Jessica helps her clients protect their reputations, intellectual property, private and confidential information and commercial interests. She advises on a broad range of legal issues including Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law and Shareholder Disputes.

Jessica acts for a wide variety of individuals and corporate clients, including celebrities, agents, social media influencers, footballers, media organisations, political parties and medical professionals. Jessica is highly results-driven. She always has consideration for her clients' commercial interests and reputations. Jessica has a First Class Honours Degree in English and History (graduating first in her class), a Graduate Diploma in Law and an LPC MSc in Law and Business Management.

Associate Solicitor

Sehar Hussain

Sehar joined the team as an Associate Solicitor in September 2023. Sehar is an experienced litigator and advises a diverse range of clients from small businesses to corporate entities. Her clients include high net worth individuals and high profile clients who value her expertise, discretion and commercial approach to solving their disputes.

Sehar advises clients on a wide range of legal issues including shareholder disputes, intellectual property, defamation and reputation management and is experienced in acting for both claimants and defendants. Sehar is personable with excellent client care skills and gives pragmatic solutions to her clients on a wide range of commercial legal issues. In addition to her law degree, Sehar has a BSC (Hons) in Applied Biological Sciences. Sehar trained and qualified with Tucker Turner Kingsley Wood LLP in London but moved back to the North West to be closer to her family.

Paralegal

Adam Moore

Adam joined the team in August 2024. Prior to joining, he read law at the University of Liverpool before going on to complete the BPC (LLM) at the University of Law.

Adam has a particular interest in commercial litigation and any disputes with complex and niche technical matters having previously worked as a legal research editor for the Liverpool Business and Property Court Forum. He is a determined, forward-thinking individual who strives to go above and beyond in all matters he undertakes.

Paralegal

Harry Caputo

Harry joined Manleys in August 2024. Prior to joining the team, he read law at university before going on to partially train at a reputable media law firm in London.

Harry assists all fee earns on a wide variety of matters, ranging from contract disputes to privacy claims. He is a focused and diligent team member committed to supporting and achieving success for clients.

Harry has an ardent passion for theatre and sports, developing his interests through directing small performances and training as an amateur boxer.

Office Administrator

Sally Fowles

Sally is responsible for the day to day running of our busy office. Sally ensures front of house is covered, she meets and greets visitors to our office, and is always available to help at the end of the phone. Sally also carries out vital administration duties to ensure our new client files are opened promptly and are compliant.

Sally has a wealth of administration experience and her work ensures the Solicitors within Manleys are free to handle clients instructions, ensuring we provide the best possible service at all times. Sally is bright, warm and will go the extra mile to help those around her, she is a real credit to our team.

Jennifer Yates

Jennifer specliases in Employment Law, discrimination at work, and Special Educational Needs Tribunals, offering representation and support to both employees and individuals, and employers and educational settings.

Jennifer qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and spent ten years practising law in a top 40 law firm. As a consultant solicitor at Manleys, Jennifer has built a reputation as a trustworthy and committed representative coming alongside clients in difficult times. In addition to legal practise, Jennifer is a qualified mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators focussing on workplace and commercial disputes.

Lindsay Yateman

Lindsay has over 30 years’ experience specialising in Family Law, particularly acting for high-net-worth individuals. Lindsay undertakes all family law work including divorce, Children Act applications, cohabitation disputes, civil partnership dissolution and pre-nuptial agreements, with specific expertise in resolving complex financial claims on divorce, which often include company assets, trusts and pensions.

When speaking about her work Lindsay says: “I appreciate going through a relationship breakdown can be traumatic and unsettling. I am always available to provide support and guidance to my clients as they go through an often-difficult period in their lives. I promote dispute resolution and practice as a collaborative lawyer.” Collaborative law enables couples to reach their own solutions around the table rather than by embarking on lengthy litigation.

Neil Hobden

Neil joined Manleys in 2024 as a consultant solicitor. He advises on all aspects of family law and specialises in the financial aspect of relationship breakdown. He qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and his expertise has been recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK rankings for more than twenty years. Neil is one of the few solicitors outside London listed as a Prominent Figure in the prestigious Citywealth directory. Neil is as adept at negotiating settlements as he is litigating to protect his clients’ interests. He is renowned for his strategic and pragmatic approach and his clear advice to clients.

Many of Neil’s clients enjoy a high profile and all value his attention to detail and discretion in what are often sensitive matters.

Stephen Lea

Stephen qualified as a Solicitor in 1979 and started representing musicians the following year. The clients he has represented are some of the music greats from the past 25 years and include Take That, New Order, The Charlatans, Tears For Fears, Teenage Fanclub, Russell Watson and James. As well as musicians, Stephen has also represented actors, TV presenters, songwriters, record and production companies, publishers and promoters and he is recognised as one of the leading Solicitors in the music industry.

Eleni Iles

Eleni joined Manleys in 2012, having spent the previous 3 years working as a professional support lawyer dealing with regulatory/quality compliance at a North West firm. At Manleys, she is a consultant specialising in advising the practice on its compliance, risk and quality issues.

Eleni qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and spent the first 8 years of her legal career as a property solicitor at a law firm in the North West, dealing with all aspects of commercial and residential property. She focused on commercial freehold and leasehold, commercial lending, business sales/purchases linked to property, and all types of residential property work. Eleni gained an MA in modern history from Corpus Christi, Oxford before undertaking a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law, Chester.
